Profile
I have been a working photographer for over forty years. The bulk of my work has been shooting portraiture, and in the late seventies and, early eighties this would be people in the entertainment business. I don't like to say celebrities because that always sound to me like boasting. These days life has me taking a different approach with my work, and that is to capture fine art. I get amuzed with the most simple things in life, and how they are interpreted into a piece of art.  In my pass I would have an art  director tell me that they would fancy seeing my work over a fire place, and to this I would be puzzled.  I don't react the same anymore!  It is such an honor to develop a collectors list, and to see more than one of my pieces hanging on their walls.
Having been a traditionalist most of my time ;and working in a wet darkroom, it was a major effort for me to pick up a digital camera. I use to get teased all the time when I bought  my first  digital camera, and started learning the tricks of photo shop. I can remember saying never, I'll never do that! Well I am eating those words. I do still manage to get in the darkroom, but the instant gratification of the digital world has also been too tempting. I guess I'm guilty!

Print offerings:
I am totally involved when dealing with a traditional black and white image.I not only do my own film processing, but put all the care of taking care of a child with printing my images. All black and white silver gelatin prints are available in these sizes and number.( 8x10, 11x14, 100per image)(16x20, 50 per image) All are signed numbered and are printed archival. I am known to also paint onto the surface of the  paper oils or watercolor paint.
This process was how color was done in the early years of photography.
I sometimes, when an image is requested as an ink jet print , scan my negatives. This is also printed with archival oil ink , and on archival art papers.(Hahnemule Bamboo paper is my favorite!) This paper is made of 80% bamboo, and 20% cotton. This is not only environmental friendly but has been guaranteed to last 200 hundred years !  As I do with my traditional all prints are signed , numbered, and are available on these sizes of paper(8.5x11,11x17,100 per image) (13x19,50 per image)
Note most of my color these days is shot digitally, and also some of the black and white. I will make this information available . All images will never have a border more than a quarter of an inch on the longest side of the paper, unless a bleed image is requested. Bleed image will create a cropping into the original art, but will be discussed upon ordering art.
